subject: is life beautiful? 

"In this embodied existence you will be tossed again and again on the waves of happiness and misery, prosperity and adversity but know them all to be momentary duration, never care for them"

yesterday for our weekend batch students I spoke on Life is beautiful....  because two three days back somebody sent me a message WhatsApp message "smile life is beautiful" the message is... So I was reflecting on that is our life really beautiful? no these are all you know positive statements to make us happy to make us feel motivated to make us you know get some inspiration "smile life is beautiful" but where do you see that? everybody has some kind of issue every second person is kind of worry what earlier we used to see children smile The joy all the time right? children are still joyful you know they are joyful till they are sent to a school once they are sent to a school all that joy evaporates because you have to do now homework you have to compete with your fellow students you have to get marks and grades otherwise you know a child is very joyful life small things would make them so happy you give them a little chocolate and one biscuit and they would be so happy you know adults actually it's difficult to make them happy  but children are happy with small things but OfCourse still they are sent to school they are happy once you send them to school gone that happiness that joy evaporates you know how to make life beautiful? you all some of you might have studied Sri Ramakrishna Paramhamsa's life he never went to school he refused to go to school why? he said school doesn't give me real education how do you know?  yes, I know because he was an incarnation of god, he never went to school he refused to go to school and what he did? He said I want God.... Why you want God? because there is so much of suffering in the world okay so who has created this world we all you know answer that god has created the world.

                                       

So, let me see God actually! so Vivekananda also had the same question first Vivekananda wanted to know god why?  there is so much of suffering there is no true joy in human life that beautiful smile you don't really see everybody has some kind of worry so why God has created such a defective world? that was the question Vivekananda had and he sought answer you know Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa became the priest of that Dakshineswar Kali temple in Kolkata there is a kali temple it was consecrated in 1855..

One zamindar by name Rani Rasmani she built in those days she was very rich woman and Sri Ramakrishna became a priest there (speaks in Telugu: పూజారి ఆ ఆలయం కి) then he would worship you know mother kali everyday with much such intensity with such deep love his prayer would be

oh mother okay that god who has created this world he started worshipping in that kind of mother the image so you have created this world you reveal thyself to me (speaks in telugu:నువ్వు  ఈ ప్రపంచాన్ని సృష్టించావు నువ్వు నాకు కనపడు ) okay every day he would ask he would ask he would ask ritual he would do Naivadya he would offer to mother kali like a uh mother actually how she would feed her small child he would feed mother kali you take this prasad .... you take this prasad and hold it near her mouth and she would take so it all happened and he wanted to appear before him you show thyself to me but mother was tarrying she did not appear that quickly so he put in the best of the effort afterwards when mother was still actually you know not coming before him he about to chop off his head (speaks in Telugu: ఆ విగ్రహం లో ఉన్న కత్తి తీస్కొని తల నరుక్కుపోతే అప్పుడు ప్రత్యక్షమైంది కాళికా దేవి అయన ముందు )   what happened then actually entire you know room was filled up with light all the walls the image everything got dissolved into some kind of energy (speaks in Telugu: మొత్తం కరిగిపోయింది అక్కడ టెంపుల్ లేదు విగ్రహం లేదు గోడలు లేవు ఎవెర్య్థింగ్ లేదు శరీర స్పృహ కూడా కోల్పోతాడు అప్పుడు  )  everything melted into one homogeneous whole okay

 after that experience life became really beautiful for him because he understood that the world only not real (speaks in telugu:ఇది ఒక కల రాత్రి పూత మనకు ఆలా ఎట్లనో పగలు కూడా ఒక కాలనీ నిజంగా లేదు ఇక్కడ ఉన్నదంతా ఏముంది ఇక్కడ  )there is only god there is only consciousness there is only energy and intelligence you know modern physicists also telling the same thing people who have got noble prize in 2022 "world is not real it's only and appearance"    (speaks in Telugu: ప్రపంచం నిజం కాదు అది నీకు మనసులో కనపడుతుంది కనపడుతున్న ఒక అప్పీరెన్స్ అంతే ) but it is not real for all of us this world three dimensional world ,world of name and form is so real okay it's so tangible so real and that's why all our goals are set and you know working for making our life's better and better but whatever you may do okay you will get both as Swamiji saying "in this world of embodied existence you will be both adversity and happiness joy and misery both will come ..

prosperity and adversity and happiness and misery both will come to us there is no way you can have only happiness with the exclusion of misery (speaks in Telugu:ఎవరైతే ఆలా అనుకుంటున్నారో ఇంకా ఆ వ్యక్తి ఇగ్నొరంచె లో ఉన్నాడు నాకు ఈ ప్రపంచం ఓ ఓన్లీ ఆనందమైన వస్తువు ఉంది దుఃఖం లేదని అనుకునే వాళ్ళు ఇంకా ఫెయిరీ టేల్ వరల్డ్ లో బ్రతుకుతున్నారు ) you will get both whatever you may do and what ultimately for Sri Ramakrishna afterwards everything in life is full of joy was full of beauty everything is god it's god only doing for every action he would see god because this is all a appearance this is all only a  dream behind god he would see every day (speaks in telugu:ఈ ప్రపంచం వెనుక ఉన్న భగవంతుడు కనపడుతున్నాడు కాబట్టి ఆయనికి అప్పుడు ప్రపంచము నిజంగా అందంగా తయారుఅయింది చాల అందంగా కనపడింది సో మనందిరికి ఏంటంటే కొంతసేపు దుఃఖం కొంతసేపు రెండు కనపడతాయి కాబట్టి మనకు పూర్తిగా అందంగా కాలేదు ఒక బుద్ధుడికి ఒక వివేకానందుడి ఒక రామకృష్ణ పరమహంస కి ) for that we should be able to see god behind this apparent world

 but I am just saying because "smile life is beautiful" life is neither beautiful nor ugly it all depends upon the observer one who sees everything as beautiful is optimist and the one who sees everything as ugly is pessimist Vivekananda would say again and again Vedanta or philosophy is neither optimistic nor pessimistic it's a statement of fact you cannot be totally optimistic neither you can be totally pessimistic ,so world is actually both sometimes you are optimistic sometimes you are pessimistic sometimes life appears beautiful sometimes life appears ugly but, for people like buddha, Ramakrishna paramahamsa life really was always beautiful because they could see the truth behind the apparent world when we also get that state we would also see world really beautiful even if we cannot easily understand that state at least we should theoretically we should understand that god is behind this apparent world according to his will world is running this should be in our mind always then will can get rid of misery....
